Work History

Special Needs Paraprofessional

Fulton County Schools
07.2024 - Current

I am currently working as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Centennial High School, where I serve in the program now known as Paths, previously referred to as GNETS. My primary focus is on supporting students with Autism and Down syndrome. I have gained valuable experience in conducting Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) sessions, using flashcards, colors, and shapes to engage the students.

Additionally, I am skilled in recording ABC (Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence) data, which helps in tracking and analyzing student behaviors effectively. I have also implemented various behavioral strategies, including token economies, to reinforce positive behavior. My work often involves applying extinction techniques to address challenging behaviors in a structured manner.

I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Overall, my experience has equipped me with the tools and techniques necessary to positively impact the lives of the students I work with.
