  • Prepare required forms, supporting documentation and reports relating to Veteran Affairs Central Office (VACO) and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) requirements.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance services are established and followed, using manufacturer’s recommendations, engineering policies including but not limited to: VA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) etc.
  • Briefed Energy Plant Supervisor of work progress, delays, and issues which affected scheduled deadlines.
  • Operate two 1200-ton and one 350-ton centrifugal chillers starting, stopping, repairing, and regulating as load demands.
  • Analyze water samples and records test results on boilers, chillers, water softeners, condensers and treating as required.
  • Conducts routine preventive maintenance and assists in major repair of equipment during yearly maintenance overhaul and inspection seasons.
  • Operates three gas/oil fired Nebraska water tube and Superior firetube steam boilers, three feedwater pumps, two condensate pumps and associated equipment.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance services are established and followed, using manufacturer’s recommendations, engineering policies including but not limited to: VA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) etc.
  • Assists other employees during early developmental stages as employee progresses in training and gains experience.
  • Gather technical data, evaluate/formulate safety procedures, and determine manpower requirements for assigned projects.
