The task of Health Services department is to prepare leaders and managers in health care organizations through an understanding of the professional, social, technical, regulative, economic, and political forces that influence the health care industry. I would like to work in a business that can produce such growth.
Health Services Administration is broad description, such as it pertains to working in a physician or practice management, working in long term care such as, assisted living or nursing homes, clinical care like hospitals, home health. Additionally, outpatient clinics, public health agencies, volunteer coordinator, pharmaceutical sales, hospice organization, health and wellness facilities, sports management and more.

- I was a Healthcare Navigator and Admissions coordinator reviewed contracts with patients for a skilled nursing facility to gain entry for treatment and stay.
- Reviewed Medicare and Medicaid
- Ensured all the rooms had certain pieces of furniture and equipment for the residents
- Reviewed insurance for finical to determine insurance pay or private pay. Performed outreach to the community by going to various long term care facilities, assisted living, and physician offices for referrals.
- Giving speeches at the facilities. Accessed patients by doing what we call morning rounds that consist of checking call lights, passing out fresh beverages, checking the rooms for PPE, ensuring that the patients needs are being met.
- During down time would help activities director with events, setting up events, playing bingo, passing out snacks, painting finger nails.

- Handled the financial aspects of a certain region of skilled nursing facilities/hospitals/ rehabilitations. Provided payment for each facility from paying medical directors, pt care, non emergent transportation to emergent transportations, Medicare/Medicaid, Covid pay, all the way down to the facilities telephone bills.
- Had Direct contact with Nursing Home Adminstartors. Met month end deadlines and pays monthly reoccurring for each facility. Maintained eight throughout the state of GA. Additionally, i medically code for each itemized payment.
- Lastly, I process manual check request or efts. I ensure all backup is met before processing any form of payment. I pulled backup from banks to void or reissue checks as I also handle outstanding checks by calling to elevate why a check has not been cashed before turning it over to the state.
- Foremost, due to Covid our department was working remote instead of in one of our facilities (Ethica’s) business building. 2019-2023
