  • As a McDonald's team member, I was trained on both back-of-house and front-of-house duties. My main responsibilities were interacting with customers, cleaning, grilling, washing dishes, collecting payments, and verifying order accuracy. I was often placed in roles where I was the first face a customer saw; my customer service is my strongest aspect, and it was my responsibility to make sure the guest left with a positive experience.

  • As the assistant store manager, I was tasked with managing inventory and interpersonal issues happening at the time within the store. I was also trained on advanced loss prevention tactics. On top of this, I had the general responsibilities of an AutoZone employee. Helping customers find problems with their vehicles, as well as diagnosing and finding the parts they would need. I would often change batteries, spark plugs, and anything else a customer needs, within reason. I also often made deliveries for the commercial manager. I would drive whatever parts a local automotive shop needed directly to their doors, or even drive to other AutoZones in the area if they had a part we did not.

  • As a Chick-fil-A team member, I was trained on customer service. While order accuracy and speed were important, there was a very large emphasis on how interactions with customers were supposed to go. Maintaining Chick-fil-A's image while also managing whatever role I was assigned to built my customer service skills to a very high level. I also did inventory for my location. I was on a team of three people who unloaded the morning truck, making sure to rotate stock and verify that everything is in the correct spot.
