During my lifetime I have also worked in the Land Surveying and Mapping Profession for approximately 20 years. I managed day to day operations of office and field crews. I also have built houses from physically doing the work, to owning my own building and contracting business.
I also am proficient in vehicle repairs and maintenance. As well as balloon repairs and sewing.
The Helen to the Atlantic Race is a 2 day long race. We fly sunrise to sunset each day until someone reaches the finish line. For me it was always an opportunity to sharpen my skills in areas that we don't normally see in day to day LTYA operations. Flying during the middle of the day provided me experience in extreme balloon operations. This gave me the skills and confidence to handle whatever conditions may arise during normal balloon operations.
