  • I've worked at Ihop as a Line Cook for two years and Prep cook for a year and a half. As a line cook my job was not just making sure that the food was cooked properly and looked presentable at my designated station. Some of my tasks aside from cooking, was restocking my assigned area in the kitchen for my shift both before I would start cooking and after I was done for my shift. Cleaning my area to prepare health code standards by Collecting any trash that accumulated over my shift, changing the trash bags in the kitchen ,disinfecting my area, both sweeping and mopping the floors and helping restock other parts of the kitchen before I would leave. As a Prep cook I would prepare ingredients by weighing, washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients. following a prep list created by the head cook/kitchen manager of items needing to be prepped. And all while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

  • I've been a Dishwasher/Busser at Ihop for over two and a half years. Operating the dishwashing machine and performing cleaning tasks by hand to ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are clean and sanitized I was also responsible for clearing tables, collecting used dishes, cleaning chairs, booths, and floors within the dining area also. Some of my other duties included taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping the floors, and helping with food preparation.

  • I primarily worked in the walking cooler. Organizing and breaking down new and old palettes of goods to put out onto the sale floor. I would rotate the product on the shelves. The newest ones to the back of the shelves and pushing the older ones to the front while also taking out any out of date products. I was also responsible for cooking and taking an accurate log of all the rotisserie chickens that were cooked on that specific day. That includes the times that the chickens went into and out of the ovens. How many were sold and how many went unsold from each batch. And how many could not be sold from that batch and the reason why. After that was done the only thing that I would have to do was help clean the meat department before leaving for the day.

  • I worked overnight mostly through out the weekend. I was a cook on the grill. But my main job was to make sure that my area was cleaned and stocked up for the morning shift. I was also a cashier and an order take. Over the two years i worked at McDonald's. I learned how to be a cashier and take orders , make drinks both Fountain and Specialty. while cleaning and getting my area ready for the next shift
