February 28th, 2016, is a day I'll never forget because it was the day I was told my daughter had been diagnosed with A.L.L. cancer (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia), and thanks to God and a mother like me who knows her child, I just knew something was wrong and got her to the hospital just in time; if I had stayed a few more hours, I probably wouldn't have had her.
We soon got connected with the proper doctors, and she (well, we, because I was there every step of the way) underwent chemotherapy. Since then, we have been going through it, praying, and hoping for the best outcome still on this day.
So, in the meantime, I've been learning while helping.
Give meds.
Clean a peck line/port.
Read food labels, and cook healthy meals for the body.
Give chemotherapy medicine.
Maintain a sense of control and support.
Cope with their emotions, problem-solving.
Dealing with pain.
Staying positive.
Washing clothes, prepping, and cooking meals.
Making and getting to appointments.
Check the temperature.
Being a big support.
