I started as Christmas help, then was offered a temporary position with no benefits then after that expired, I was offered another temporary term. I worked 4 years in that temporary status, being offered a position every year, until I was offered a career position. I received benefits and a new job position. Every year since I have been able to take on numerous job positions, which broadens my career, Increase my salary and develop a lifetime of people skills. I have worked in a plant setting distributioning the mail and work In an office setting in that same plant, seeing how the mail distribution works from an inplant support office. Now I get to see how the mail works in a Post Office and how Customer service is such a vital tool. We have a choice to lead our employers, our coworkers and our customers in a positive direction for the good of our welfare. I trained on a variety of postal machines, the Flat Sorter, the Spbs(small parcels) 10 key, Microsoft computer and Sort plan assignments.
