Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Speacialist

Serves as an Installation Sexual Assault Victim Advocate providing a wide range of essential support and advocacy services, liaison services, and care to victims of sexual assault in accordance with generally accepted procedures and techniques.

Maintains support and follow-up contact with sexual assault victims throughout the lifecycle or the case. Assists the Installation SARC in the development and delivery of comprehensive sexual assault training to comply with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements. Represents the SAPR installation program at both military and civilian agencies. Assists victims of sexual assault in their effort towards the process of recovery, through advocacy and resource information.

Performs duties which include but are not limited to crisis intervention, safety planning, referral, ongoing non‐clinical support, and furnishing information on available options and resources to assist victims in making informed decisions regarding reporting options and care. Assists the SARC in the supervision of volunteer Victim Advocates.

Served as a member of the multidisciplinary Family Advocacy Program (FAP) team and is responsible for providing administrative, technical, and prevention services as directed by the Family Advocacy Officer (FAO). Provided psycho-education and directs advice regarding suicide/mental illness crisis. Supported all components of FAP to include records management, computer support, meeting preparation, assisting in research and evaluation, and assisting in administering and scoring instruments related to secondary prevention. Works collaboratively with other helping agencies on and off the installation to identify appropriate services for service members and their dependents. Administratively responsible for the maintenance of automated data collection systems, including the Family Advocacy System of Records (FASOR) and ensures that maltreatment data is entered into FASOR within 15 calendar days after the Clinical Case Staffing (CCS). In conjunction with the FAO, manages data to provide information regarding patient satisfaction, recidivism, and clinical outcome measures. Compiles statistical data, prepare minutes, agendas, and notification letters IAW Family Advocacy Program Standards, and other written communication as requested by the FAO. Worked alongside SARC (Sexual Assault Response Coordinator) to support/manage FAP cases of Domestic Violence/ Sexual Assault.

Family Readiness Group Leader- Volunteer
