personnel to case as needed. Conferences with Medical Director regarding any questions about an individual's eligibility for services.
Audit patients’ charts to ensure patients remain appropriate for service and if there is missing information, the information is obtained and added to the chart.
Reviews and approves payroll.
Attends case conference meetings with hospice personnel to facilitate coordination of care and discussion of interdisciplinary group involvement.
Actively participates in quality assessment Performance and Improvement teams and activities. Assures for the quality and safe delivery of hospice services provided through the
organization.
Facilitate, orient and assist in orientation of new employees and ensures that the nursing personnel are qualified and competent for their assigned duties.
Assists in planning, implementation and evaluation of inservices and continuing education programs.
Ensures patient assignments are made that reflect a consideration of patient needs as well as nursing staff qualifications and competencies.
Screens and interviews new employees and makes recommendations for employment of individuals.
Assures proper documentation of all IDG documentation is present and accurate in the clinical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsible for nursing schedule coverage by providing adequate coverage for nursing services 24/7 to include business operation hours and after business hours (on call).
Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume that could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses.
