Experienced firefighter/EMT with over 32 years of emergency response experience looking to transition to the Battalion Chief position at Centerra Fire Rescue. Brings work experience in other fields including building construction, truck driving, handyman, hardware retail, CPR/First Aid instruction, fire service instruction, and military service. Was responsible for administrative functions to include: the daily completion of fire and ems reports, staffing and time care, weekly emergency supplies request, monthly station supply requests, yearly hydrant, pre-fire plans and hose testing, yearly prescribed training hours and drills, and yearly performance evaluations of assigned fire crews. Was trained and operated as the initial and overall scene commander on numerous fire, vehicle extrication, technical rescue, and ems responses; several of which resulted in the successful saving of civilians lives. As a trained fire service instructor, assisted in the training of fire recruits as a adjunct instructor and with providing live fire as part of the Cobb Co. Ignition. Taught company officer level course such as Fire Instructor 2 and internal officer courses as part of the Cobb Co. Fire Officer Forum staff. As a Fire and Life Safety Educator, taught fire safety education curriculum to first and third grade children at the Cobb County Safety Village.
