Summary

Objective:

I am a student at Augusta University in the Nursing Anesthesia Program (NAP), pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Along with my three project partners, we are conducting a pilot evaluation program of handoff tools implemented at Wellstar MCG Health in the Fall of 2025. While these handoff tools have already been introduced into clinical practice, there is limited long-term evidence regarding their effectiveness and sustainability. Our project aims to evaluate whether the implemented handoff tools have had a positive impact on patient safety outcomes and unit satisfaction.
