MYWE Summer Session is an 8-week career awareness and internship program designed to create pathways to success for high school youth "Scholars", following Level-Up!, a mentoring and workforce development research model.

• Planned and implemented age-appropriate art lessons for high school students related to community, social impact, and career preparation in creative roles.
• Assisted in the management of programs, services, and activities at partner schools, nonprofit organizations, and contracted specialists.
• Taught work-ready skills and competencies (communication, marketing, presentation, etiquette, etc.) that will enhance their foundation in professional art careers.
• Coordinated a student trip to B Mike’s Studio and Dooky Chase restaurant in New Orleans to culminate the summer program’s goals of advocating creative careers and workforce readiness for BIPOC students.

• Oversaw all aspects of the Maker Shop, Art Garden, and clay studio while delivering lessons, and activities to visitors of all ages and abilities following our CREATE Learning framework
• Managed large programs (50+ attendance) in the Big Back Yard for Outreach, field trips, workshops, and camp classes
• Assisted with creating additional content for activities, ordering supplies, and restocking materials as needed

• Developed and executed an Afro-futurist curriculum for a class of approximately 20 high school students

• Conducted marketing for the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra Discovery Concert where 2,400 participants from public, private, and homeschool students were attained from over 10 Louisiana parishes
• Drafted emails, surveys, contracts, maintained correspondence, and school visits to teachers, principals, and superintendents on behalf of promoting educational programs and obtaining research at the supervisor’s request
• Designed social media graphics, tote bags, name cards, and other materials needed for the Louisiana Art Summit
• Oversaw and operated an interactive art booth at the Ebb and Flow Festival that included designing a treasure hunt graphic used as part of Kid’s Coast, a family-friendly division
