This job was one of multitasking and attention to detail. I was a full-time dog bather, but my position also required the handling of secretary duties and customer service. I would make and manage appointments, check in as well as check out dogs, serve walk-in services, and handle my own scheduled bath dogs all at once. However, my primary focus was always on the safety and well-being of the dogs in my care!
As a cashier/sales associate, I help customers with sales transactions and returns, inquiries about our products, as well as assist with any other help they may need. I also stock in between sales. Some days, I come in to help stock our new truck arrivals, while also helping with any backup at the cash register. Pets and animals are a big part of my job; I assist in the sales of many different live animals and am constantly interacting with customers' pets.
As a cashier/sales associate, I was expected to help customers with checkouts and inquiries about our products, as well as assist with any other help they may need. Some of my other responsibilities would be to keep track of and remove any expired products, as well as weekly sales. Health safety was a big factor in the job, so I am well-versed in managing personal and work environment hygiene.
