I am beginning training with my previous employer and will start seeing my own patients on a part-time basis. This opportunity allows me to start developing my skills as a new provider in a supportive learning environment, while I continue to pursue my goal of full time employment in the SLC area.

• OR experience primarily consisted of assisting in spinal surgeries and total joint replacements.
• Assisted in large wound closures.
• Pre and post-operative care.

• Performed I&D procedures under supervision.
• Laceration repairs.
• Rash evaluation and management.

• Gained experience conducting full skin exams, as well as evaluating and treating dermatologic conditions in a diverse patient population.
• Assisted in skin cancer and cyst excision surgeries and performed closures.
• Performed procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and I&D with supervision.
• Educated patients on skin care, disease prevention, prescription use, and post-procedural care.

• Performed daily full body skin checks for my assigned patients at the LTAC facility.
• Assisted wound care team with advanced wound management.

• I worked as a medical assistant for a solo dermatologist before starting PA school. My responsibilities included checking in patients, documentation, preparing for procedures, assisting in surgery, prescription and insurance communication, and patient triage. My experience working here was incredibly valuable during school and I believe will continue to benefit me in my career as a provider.

• I volunteered on a mobile unit as a medical assistant for a community clinic in my area that provides free and low-cost care to the underserved community. My duties included patient intake, scribing, and assisting the provider during visits.
