Mario Obregon

I am a motivated first-generation Mexican American student pursuing a career in healthcare. My goal is to enter the nursing program while simultaneously completing the prerequisites for medical school. After earning my RN, I plan to work as a nurse for a couple of years to support my family financially and gain real clinical experience before applying to medical school, where I hope to specialize in internal medicine.

My experiences in leadership roles—such as serving as HoPe’s Vice President of Education and leading my marching band section—have taught me discipline, responsibility, and how to support others. I am passionate about helping people, committed to academic excellence, and focused on building a career that allows me to make a meaningful impact in my community.
