I am currently working as a Plumbing assistant that helps with laying PVC pipes for irrigation, waterways, or storm drains. I work new construction plumbing so I help place pipes and toilet pipes before the ground is placed and the concrete is poured. I have been taught how to hang hangers, soder copper, and how to use, place and connect gas line pipes. I have been taught how to use many different tools and equipment, ranging from excavators to lasers for finding the right fall and elevation the pipe needs for the water or gas to flow in the right direction.
I started at Puckett as an Ambulance Operator, which is a position that drives and maintains an ambulance for the EMT. After working there for a few weeks I got offered to go through the Emergency Medical Technician program that Puckett offers to a selected few. It took me 6 weeks to complete the program. I passed the National Registry Emergency Medical Technicians exam and became a licensed EMT. As an EMT I had to preform basic care and life saving treatments in extreme stressful situations. During down time I had to keep my ambulance maintenance, stocked and sanitized between each emergency call. At the end of each call I had to write my report of what transpired. I had to make sure to follow all HIPAA laws and guidelines presented to us by the patients personal information.
I was hired as a cashier/customer service employee. I started out taking orders, handling money and making sure food quality and accuracy was correct. Later, I was promoted to the kitchen as a trainer. I was responsible for maintaining food prep and making sure the kitchen was clean and sanitized after each order. I taught new employees how to work the food preparation station and how to keep the kitchen clean based on FDA guidelines.
