In addition to extensive training and experience with alzheimers/dementia patients, I am also experienced in providing care to those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. My 9 year old son is diagnosed with level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder so I have extensive hands on training on how to handle behaviors often associated with developmental disorders and understand the importance of making sure patients experiencing these conditions still receive the best quality care even when not able to advocate for themselves.
