Acute Care Experience

• Performed evaluations and treatments for a wide variety of patients admitted to the hospital, including patients admitted to the PICU and CICU.
• Received dedicated mentoring for evaluation and treatment of critical patients requiring mechanical ventilation, pacing wires, and close cardiac monitoring.
• Conducted evaluations and treatments for patients admitted with a wide range of diagnoses, including rare genetic disorders, congenital heart defects, pediatric cancers, orthopedic injuries, polytraumas, traumatic brain injuries, and more.

• Mentored graduate research assistants in development of research methods, data collection, interpretation of results, and development of manuscript for publication.

• Developed teaching module for the University of Miami DPT program discussing transition of healthcare from pediatric to adult providers.
