Michael Melton

I have worked with AutoCAD since version 12 DOS to version 2018. Mainly I have used 2D drawings to develop county and state permits as well as jobs on the large scale as well as individual jobs. I have worked extensively with road plans as well as field drawings. My first role was a shovel hand many tears ago. Progressed to installing service lines and well as gas main and hot taps. I went on to leak survey which involved walking the entire system over a 5 year period, checking for leaks, In 1994 i took over the drafting department. Since then there have been many changes such as GIS mapping intergraded with AutoCAD, I have overseen 2 people in this department. I also hold certifications in computer repair and networking.

I started out as an apprentice for RF Knox and finished my first year. During this time I worked with my father Leamon Melton on Overlook 3 extensively. I then went to Doraville GM plant as well as other jobs. In this role I leaned how to read plans and to put duct together, hang it and units as well. I worked in the shop briefly.
