4 Correlates abnormal laboratory results with pathologic and physiologic stats to determine validity and reasonableness of data Recognizes unexpected results, errors and problems with patient tests Performs analytical and decision making functions without direct supervision

5 Coordinates activities of laboratory technicians and support personnel as required Assures the quality and timeliness of patient test results by investigating problems involving specimen collection, result reporting and turnaround time
