As a first year with AMS Pools:

• Started off as a lifeguard.
• Up to date CPR certification.
• Can keep attention to important tasks for long periods of time
• Able to spot when someone is having harmful reactions, in signs of stress, loss of consciousness, or anything else that could indicate that there is a Guest In Distress (GID)
• Promoted to head guard
• Given more responsibilities when it came to cleaning and maintaining the pool
• Given a leadership role to give me more experience.
• Promoted to a pool manager.
• Can manage multiple employees.
• Am able to de-escalate situations where there is an ongoing conflict.
• Am able to stay calm and collected when faced with a tough decision or situation.

• Assist in coaching three different age levels of swimmers. (5yo & under, 6-8yo, and 9-12yo. I also swim in the oldest group to be a role model to the younger swimmers)
• Assist swimmers with their technique, endurance, attitude, and discipline.
• Help swimmers with confusion and difficulty
• Teach the very young swimmers (5 & under) how to swim and show them the basics to help move them up in skill level and give them the inspiration to make the sport their own.

• Ensure that all guests had a safe and enjoyable visit and day.
• Ensure that I maintain my 10/20 at all times on the stand.
• Know the rules of the pool and make sure to enforce them on the guests.
• Know what to do in any given situation involving a GID and every step that goes along with it.
• Know the basic duties and tasks of a Lifeguard and how to follow through with them from open to close.
• Make sure to show kindness to all guests and try to meet 3 new people per day.
• Always be ready for changes in weather or any sort of natural disaster in which guests will need to evacuate or clear the pool deck.
• Always activate EAP whenever there is an emergency.
• Kept equipment, barriers and gates in good condition to minimize hazards.
• Ensure that all safety equipment is near and ready for an emergency.
