  • I have been working at Pilgrims for a year. I started as a production worker, working in CFA as a safety person.
  • As a safety I worked on keeping and maintaining a safe workplace for my team members. As well as providing training and conducting regular inspections around the plant to identify any hazards.
  • I then started working in Sanitation my job now is to maintain a clean work area. Using safety and sanitation protocols for example using clean water, maintaining good hygiene and having the training I need to perform my job.
  • Making sure all the equipment and ground for production is clean from waste, debris and chicken. Handling cleaning and sanitation chemicals with safety precautions.
  • Ensured proper use of PPE to minimize chemical exposure during daily tasks. Conducted periodic deep cleans of the facility to maintain a safe working environment. Using appropriate PPE while working and applying cleaning chemicals to machinery with portable foaming systems.
