I am a creative, energetic, hardworking, and self-motivated individual with a very strong interest in the Communications field. I possess a Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communication) with a major in Public Relations, followed by over Eight (8) years of experience in the Communications and Marketing field. I gained experience at the Competition and Consumer Authority as part of the Communications and Advocacy Department. My duties included but were not limited to developing pamphlets, brochures and newsletters using technology such as Illustrator and Photoshop, attending trade fairs, interaction with the media and the community was a regular occurrence. At Safari Destinations, I strengthened my administrative skills, having to work to quick deadlines, with huge volumes and tight time pressures, producing accurate work. I am currently employed by Geoflux as a Public Relations and Community Liaison Manager for the Maun Water Supply and Sanitation Scheme Phase II (MWSS) to implement the Stakeholder Engagement, Public Relations and Communication Strategy, overseeing Public Relations Officers for all Four (4) Contractors contracted to the MWSS project. At Safari Destinations, a destination management company (DMC) specialising in providing on the ground services for tourists, leveraging local expertise to create seamless, authentic experiences in the wildlife rich Botswana. I enhanced my skills on the following: Strategic Communication: Developed targeted campaigns to promote sustainable safari experiences. Crisis Management: Managed real time communication during travel disruptions, maintaining client trust and satisfaction. Stakeholder Engagements: Built partnerships with local communities and international agents, enhancing Safari Destinations’ reputation in eco-tourism.
