I started my career with the GDC in 2015 as a CO at Augusta State Medical Prison. I have almost 10 years of experience in the prison setting. I’ve received a great deal of training. BCOT, Mental Health, Effective Communication, Sergeants Academy, Portal Sergeant Training, Rapid ID, Supervision 1-3, Post IT, GDC Cultural Champion, and Super User Tablet Training. All the training I have obtained has developed my knowledge of the GDC and its mission. My objective is to learn and accomplish as many goals as possible during my career with the GDC. I’ve taken a great interest in different areas that can improve my career when it comes to learning new things in the department. I’d like to learn and develop my knowledge in and outside of security. I am very interested in learning my way around multiple departments during my career, so I am not limited. I see myself as a great asset to the department and Augusta State Medical Prison. I am very professional and private. I am confident in my ability to always accomplish all tasks that are given to me. I am well-organized. I am excellent with computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). I consider myself a knowledgeable professional skilled at assisting employees with learning tasks, improving performance and maximizing productivity. Top-notch planner, organizer, and problem-solver. Superb mentorship over many years.
