Reviewing and analyzing emergency room charts for complete and accurate charges to submit for billing. Duties included assigning specific cpt code and e/m level code including consideration for procedures and or infusion/injections given during the emergency department stay. It is my responsibility to ensure timely and accurate compliant charges.

Assisted in delivering patient care and stabilization at a paramedic level for medical and trauma patients. Completed patient care tasks in alignment with LPN standards. Administered medications, treatments, and wound care while providing discharge instructions to patients after provider assessments. Managed care for admitted patients awaiting room assignments or transfers to surgical or interventional units. Focused on providing safe and effective care for each patient. Adhered to all regulatory standards and hospital policies in training and care delivery.

Administered emergency medical care and support for trauma and medical patients alongside physicians and nursing staff. Assisted in delivering medications and placing tubes, including NG tubes, OG tubes, Foley catheters, and straight catheters when necessary. Stabilized fractures and applied splints as well as providing burn care when needed. Obtained laboratory samples and established IV access in various clinical situations. Aided in special circumstances for patients with complex medical histories, focusing on pediatric requirements and family needs during emergencies.

Responded to emergency 911 calls and provided emergency care to patients during medical or traumatic emergent situations. Supported transfers between hospitals to aid patient care and stabilization. Duties included management of critical care patient needs such as ventilator dependent patients on multiple medication drips as well as non-emergent care and transport to patients in need of basic care. Compliance with all company and state regulations within my scope of practice as well as all continuing educational requirements.
