At the moment, I'm a high school student going into my Junior year and I am very excited to start gaining work experience in new environments, especially retail and/or customer service. I haven't gotten a formal job yet, but I've been building responsibility and harboring my communication skills through pet sitting and volunteering at a church local to my Aunt's house.
Pet sitting my relatives and my friends pets has helped me to become a dependable and detail-oriented type of worker, since I've had to follow specific instructions and ensure that the pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for. I've volunteered at church on multiple occasions during services and food drives, and it has given me experience of working with people of all ages, staying organized during events, and working together with the other volunteers to be part of a team.
I'm more than eager to learn and I'm also very willing to take on any new tasks or learning experiences. I'm extremely reliable, friendly, and ready to work hard to help customers and support my coworkers to the best of my ability. I firmly believe that a job opportunity would be a great first step to grow my skills and contribute in a real work setting.
