Accomplishments

  • First overall score in Albuquerque Police Class 121 and first in over 25 years to not miss a single shot in qualifications with the Albuquerque Police.
  • Being the main coordinating officer of a state-wide, multiple agency manhunt involving both ground and air units which ended with the successful capture of a homicidal subject.
  • Being the contact officer for an extreme case of a Battered Spouse Syndrome (BSS) victim which ended with the successful capture of the offender.
  • Drove an unmarked police unit which was responsible for the tracking and capture of a vehicle containing two felons who robbed a retail store and shot a security guard.
  • Applied a tourniquet to a gunshot victim and saved his life.
  • Involved in a high-speed chase which ended with the successful Stop Stick deployment on the fleeing vehicle.
  • Investigated several white collar crimes involving embezzlement, fraud, and scams.
  • De-escalated many potential fights using skills learned in Crisis Intervention Technique class and advice learned from experienced police officers.
