Summer Gresham

Catering - I serve and occasionally bartend for Dogwood Catering. We do all types of events across Georgia - from weddings to graduation parties to even high-school dances. I pass appetizers, make drinks, serve food (either table side or buffet-style), clean up any and all trash, clean up venues, help prep food and table settings, anything that is needed - I do.

Finer casual dining with a speakeasy - My duties included cleaning barware, cleaning off the bar, occasionally a barista in the mornings when slammed, greeting guests, answering the phone, setting up weekend brunch buffet, managing reservations, cleaning the outside patio & making sure tables are in correct spots, assigning fair sections for servers, as well as helping out in the speakeasy.

My mom actually worked for hobnob a couple of years before I applied so I came in with a little bit of pressure due to my mom’s good relationship with the managers - my duties included greeting guests, answering the phone, managing take-out/delivery orders, cleaning bar glasses, clearing off the bar when the bartender is busy, bussing tables, running food, touching tables when slammed, chalkboard art for specials, & on trivia nights I would talley up votes and announce winners.

Counter service - I handled pouring beer, checking out guests, cleaning the foh & bathrooms, curbside pickup, phone calls, refreshing infused waters, bussing tables as guests left, as well as occasionally helping out at the sister restaurants in the same shopping center.

Counter service position - My duties included greeting guests, making smoothies & snacks / “hot bar” items, cleaning foh & boh at close, cleaning bathroom(s), as well as keeping the front of the store (outside) clean. I was eventually moved to shift lead towards the last year of working with Jamba before the location closed.

Worked as a hostess/busser. My duties included greeting guests, answering the phone, taking reservations, cleaning tables (especially if we were slammed & the server was unable, serving gelato, and occasionally foodrunning.
