The UGA Small Satellite Research Laboratory

- As a researcher, I design, test, and implement electrical components for satellites. I primarily design Printed Circuit Boards using Altium and Autodesk EAGLE, and simulate circuits using LTSpice, Simulink, and MATLAB.
- To apply for this selective position, I designed a Hysteresis Controlled DC–DC Buck Converter using manufactured parts and wrote a 10 page paper about my process/theory.

- I gained valuable leadership and teamwork skills as the Drum Set player for the UGA Redcoat Marching band.
- This is a demanding role in which people relied on me to control the tempo half-time football performances and at other large venues.

- I, along with a small team of students, am in the process of building a robot that emulates the functionality of a human drummer's arm to produce high-quality sound on a drum.
- Our design is based on using slip gears to periodically rotate the system, similarly to the short downstrokes of a drummers hand. Our design also uses a feedback control system to regulate the tempo/power of the strokes.
