Responsible for all aspects of management of operations of the Middle Georgia Regional Airport. I lead a team of seven personnel that ensures that the Airport adheres to all Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) Federal Aviation Requirement (FAR) Part 139 requirements governing operations of United States civil airports. I oversaw/ensured that all Airport tenants complied with FAA requirements and conducted routine and ad-hoc inspections for compliance. I authored major components of and supported development/fielding of a new Middle Georgia Airport Certification Manual and Airport Emergency Plan. I led efforts that ensured the Middle Georgia Regional airport passed two critical FAA inspections during my tenure. I conduct FAA required recurring training courses for Airport tenants and staff. As a recent and the only Airport graduate of the Middle Georgia State Aviation Management program, Airport and City of Macon leadership recognized the need and value of the Aviation Management degree/curriculum. I also provide key management support and FAA expertise to projects for which contractors bid and are contracted for airport improvements. I routinely coordinate, process and issue Project Orders (POs) for airport improvement efforts through required channels. My support routinely identifies issues that if not corrected/resolved would have led to project failure.
