Aviation Experience
Private flying lessons while I was in High School from 2006-2009. I am familiar with basic aerodynamics and functions of flight systems, air traffic control, and airport procedures.
During enlistment in the Army, I attended and graduated in 08/2019 from The Sabalauski Air Assault School at Fort Campbell where I learned aircraft safety procedures, hand-and-arm signals for guiding helicopters, procedures for loading and unloading soldiers and cargo, rappelling from helicopters while in flight, and MEDEVAC procedures and 9-line requests. I learned important safety and attention to detail for aviation from learning how to rig A-22 cargo bags, fuel blivits, water trailers, and how to attach and hook loads to helicopters for proper weight and balance.
Shadowed a retired A&P IA from 08/01/25-10/31/25 observing basic maintenance procedures, aircraft hardware, tool usage, and safety practices. Performed cleaning and moving aircraft to gain better understanding and exposure to interiors, inspections, and part and component replacement.
Wings of Grace: Introduction to Aviation Safety from 10/01/25-12/31/25 studying and learning safety, procedures, maintenance fundamentals, and safe operating practices.
