  • This was my first small town serving job.
  • There was almost always two people on a shift with over roughly 25 tables in the restaurant.
  • During my time, I learned to memorize prices and ingredients of meals, including the small 50 cent charge for added mushrooms, etc.
  • The roles required for this position included answering phone calls and taking to-go orders, inputting orders into the 1940s style cash register that required you to input one single item at a time to cash people out, greeting people as they walked in along with charging and bagging to-go orders all while maintaining healthy communication with customers you have seating at the establishment and catering to them in a timely manner.
  • During all of this, we as servers were required to make any salad that was rang in to the restaurant and bus our own tables at the end of the visit, presenting it for the next guest to arrive.
