Miles Walker

Oakwood

Summary

I have worked for 31 years as an educator in both private and public school settings. This includes experience as a 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th grade classroom teacher in subjects that include Bible, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Health, and Spanish. I have also worked as an administrator, coach, mentor, and interpreter. I have specialized for many years working in both ESOL and SPED classroom environments with students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. I recently retired after 31 years so that I can finish my degree at UNG with a major in Russian Language and a minor in Spanish as my true passion is foreign language education and acquisition. After graduating from UNG in May, I plan to attend graduate school to earn an MS in Foreign Language Education and then return to the education field as a Russian and possibly Spanish teacher.
